Become a weekend warrior in the month of May. The Sunshine Coast has so much variety in events and scenic experiences to offer. May is a perfect getaway time before the winter chills set in and the beaches are calmer, best of all the water is still warm.

First of all, we kick off with the May Long Weekend, which coincides with hinterland events such as the Maleny Wood Expo and the Time Warp Festival at Palmwoods. Relax with Mum on the following Mother’s Day weekend or take it up a notch and explore our markets, the Cooroy Fusion Festival and our variety of picnic spots. (After the rainy weather the waterfalls are worth a look).

Our third weekend in May is musical with the Scottish Band The Proclaimers and the Ten Tenors both performing on the coast. Lastly let’s get sporty with a game of golf. Scheduled in the final weekend in May is the Volkswagon Scramble at the local Twin Waters Golf Club. Mudjimba is central to three great coast golf courses- Twin waters, Mount Coolum and Maroochy River.

 

So all you need to do is pick your weekend, pack a picnic or golf clubs or your dancing shoes and swing the caravan into Mudjimba for a fabulous May Holiday.
